FOOD SERVICE 2010-2011

We will soon start another new year.  Lunch prices will increase $.10 this year.

We will once again be adding new items with a blend of our old favorites and an extra nice salad bar to make another enjoyable year for you in the cafeteria.  We will again be offering a cold alternate each day in place of the main dish, but we ask parents to encourage the students to try the main dishes as we feel they are the best choice.

We do have a government subsidized Breakfast Program at all schools this year.  At the High School we are serving fresh rolls, muffins, fruit bars, etc.  We have a full breakfast program at Briggs, Cardinal, and Middle School.  Your continued support of this will be greatly appreciated.

Delinquent Balances at the end of the 2009-10 school year were quite substantial, more than the Food Service can manage.

Registered children for the 2010-11 school year must have all negative balances paid off and start the new year off with a positive balance.  If you are eligible for free or reduced priced lunches please complete the application. The school secretaries can help you fill out the application so you know if you will qualify or not.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please call Laurie Morehead at 652-4211.

Notice

Maquoketa Community Schools Food Service receives and serves Government Commodities that contain nuts and nut products.  We serve peanuts, peanut butter, walnuts, and trail mix on the tray and salad bar. Students with nut allergies or any food allergies need to notify their teachers and the Food Service Department.

Thanks for your cooperation.
