“A” Day
STUDENTS:
The library will only be open for returning library materials, paying fines and picking up printouts the rest of the school year. No study hall passes for library the rest of the year please. We will be doing inventory starting Monday.
Next week, Monday -Wednesday, students can pay the library fines for 1/2 the amount. For example, they owe $.98, they can pay .49 cents to eliminate the whole fine. NOTE: 6th and 7th graders fines will not go away, they will accumulate to 8th grade.
Thank you for using the library this school year.
Current 6th & 7th graders interested in attending football camp – Registration forms are in the office.

PARENTS:
On Thursday, May 23, after exploratory class, the 8th grade students will be treated to a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria from 8:55 – 9:30. The menu includes: donuts, muffins, juice, and pancakes. Several students have volunteered to bring in items for this event. If there are any parents available to flip pancakes or assist with serving, it would be appreciated. (We are in need of about 6 parents for the breakfast. Contact Jane Schmidt if interested.) All food items are donated and hopefully, it will become an annual event. During the breakfast, we will show the 8th grade slide show prepared by the TAG students and give out our informal end-of-the-year awards. After the breakfast, students will be lined up in alphabetical order for an 8th grade graduation in the middle school gym from 9:45 – 10:30. Parents are invited to attend the graduation ceremony as well as 6th and 7th graders. During the ceremony, Dr. Huckstadt and Colton Fey will address the group. We will also give out our formal awards and middle school certificates. From 10:30 – 11:00 there will be a performance of the all school play written by Kevin Fuss.
There is a new state law that will be in effect for the 2013-14 school year for new 7th grade and approximately 13 years of age. They MUST have one dose of Tdap. It is a one time booster. Documentation of the Tdap booster will need to be provided to the MS nurse prior to the first day of school or you may bring it to registration.
School will dismiss at 12:30 PM (not 1:30 PM as originally published) on the last day of classes which is May 23, 2013. This will allow all district staff to participate in a School Safety and Emergency Response Training.
