The madness has begun! NCAA’s March Madness starts soon and Student Senate is having a bracket challenge. The top 5 bracketoligists will receive prizes. Brackets will be available in the office starting on Monday after DST. They must be filled out and turned in to Ms. Urbain, Travis Regan or Jason Schuster by 3:30 on Wednesday, March 16. So if you know it all or even if you don’t, fill one out and be a part of the MADNESS!!

The high school vocal department’s musical this year is “Beauty and the Beast”. We will be selling t-shirts and sweatshirts for our production, which features the logo from Beauty and the Beast. If you are interested please pick up a form from Mr. Hagen. Deadline is this Friday, March 11th.

Student athletes from all seasons are needed to help with the Maquoketa Athletic Boosters with the basketball tournament this weekend. Each individual is asked to work 2-3 games at the score table. Cottey College- a two-year private college for women in Nevada MO (an hour south of Kansas City) is hosting a “See for Yourself” weekend for HS Junior and Senior women on October 15, 16, 17. The Iowa PEO women’s sorority is sponsoring a FREE charter bus trip to attend this weekend. While there is a $30 registration fee to attend the college, the Iowa PEO will reimburse girls who attend the weekend. Cottey Offers an AA degree with an 11:1 faculty ratio and facilities, curriculum opportunities and a low cost not offered in most private or state colleges.
