Welcome

The year is over and now it is time to focus on the Skills and Knowledge the students have learned through out the year.  The FFA is ready to compete on the State level in  Agronomy, Landscape Design, Horse Judging, and Food Science and on the district level we have livestock judging.  And that is just in the first 2 weeks of June.

On June 14th 5 members of the Maquoketa FFA travel to Washington DC for the National FFA Leadership Connference.  They will meet students from all over the USA and learn all about leadership characterists that great leaders should have!

In late June I will be traveling to Ames to participate in professional development at the State Ag Teachers Conference.  I will also be presenting at this conference.  My presentation is all about the new Plant Science class I am teaching.  It is a national curriculum and only 20 classrooms in the US are currently teaching this class.  Again Maquoketa leads the way in new technology education.

July brings trips to farms, County Fair and Teaching Teachers about the new plant science class!

Come back and visit soon!

good bye
