Algebra is a generalization of the mathematics you already have learned.  Some of the units we will cover are:

  • Uses and introduction to variables
  • The properties of Real numbers
  • Learning to solve linear equations
  • How to graph equations
  • Learn how to write equations from the given information
  • Solving equations containing inequalities
  • How to solve systems of equations
  • The use of exponents
  • Quadratic equations and square roots
  • Factoring polynomials
  • How to work with Algebraic fractions
  • Connections to Geometry

  • Come to class ready to learn
  • It is your responsibility if you miss a day to get the missed material and have it completed for the following class period
  • Any planned absence should be made up prior to the absence
  • All work must be shown and I must be able to follow your work (Remember, it is a reflection of you)
